Caring
Ministry to Homebound,
Hospitals, Care Centers
Care-giving is an
important, well-coordinated service by many individuals and
groups at Sacred Heart. One of the objectives is to see
that the homebound and parishioners residing at Ravenwood
Care Center receive Eucharist every Sunday.
Bereavement Ministry
Persons who experience the
loss of a loved one are cared for through our bereavement
ministry. Assistance is also offered by our funeral
coordinator for planning funeral vigils/liturgies. Dinners
are served by parishioners.
Social Justice Committee (Food Sunday, Gifting Tree,
Clothing Drive)
This parish committee
seeks to serve those in need in our parish and the
community. A Food Pantry is maintained which serves 75-90
people in the food giveaway on the 4th Sunday of each
month. Special projects each year include a November
Clothing Giveaway and the Gifting Tree project each
December.
Parish Life Committee (Family Activities)
The Community Life
Committee promotes fellowship among parishioners. Socials
and special activities are open to all, but geared to
families.
